[06:30:51] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[06:30:51] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[06:30:52] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> singularity applied to software development - releases and changes get faster and faster.. till..
[06:31:19] <abaumann> So, I'm just trying to have a gpgme-1 and a gpgme (2.0.0) ready for a not so bumpy ride when upgrading gpgme for pacman.
[06:31:50] <abaumann> "not fully trusted signature" huh?
[06:35:59] <abaumann> my arch-enemy is back: signing ;-)
[06:36:35] * abaumann and no.. arch-enemy is not an Archlinux software for spy software detection ;-)

[07:17:52] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[07:17:52] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[07:17:53] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> ipv4 addresses are not that many..easy to remember.. ;-)
[07:47:13] <abaumann> I'm not amused. my secret signing key just disappeaed from euronuc
[07:47:16] <abaumann> no clue why..
[08:01:07] <abaumann> the ride gets bumpy. i486 is completely broken around libxml2/libarchive
[08:45:39] <abaumann> there are gpgme (2) and gpgme-1 packages now for pentium4 and i686. i486 is currently not easy repairable. rebuilding pacman will be tricky, I start to think we need a pacman-static and an libarchive-static hook in build-support

[17:20:05] <girls> Is there anything fundamental to be paid attention to when trying to boot the iso with qemu on a x86_64 host? I'm doing `qemu-system-i386 -cpu kvm32 -nographic -enable-kvm -drive file=sda.img, format=raw -cdrom archlinux32-2024.07.10-i686.iso -m 2G` and it loads the kernel + initramdisk, but then just hangs indefinitely.
[17:25:50] <KitsuWhooa> maybe you could give virtualbox a try
[17:26:00] <KitsuWhooa> but your cmd seems like it should work
[17:27:17] <girls> can I run virtualbox in headless mode? This is a headless server :/
[17:33:05] <KitsuWhooa> yup
[17:33:17] <KitsuWhooa> the command line interface is a bit of a pain to use though
[17:33:23] <girls> :D
[17:33:33] <KitsuWhooa> But I used to run a Windows Server VM inside Virtualbox on an OVH machine for like a decade
[17:33:41] <KitsuWhooa> headless
[17:33:50] <girls> ok, I'll look into it. Thx for the suggestion - but now for dinner :)
[17:33:53] <KitsuWhooa> mhm!
[17:34:01] <KitsuWhooa> managed to get rid of it because wine got good enough
[17:34:06] <KitsuWhooa> so the software now runs in wine :p
